Springfield Primary School was established in Kallaroo in 1972. Springfield is a level 5 Primary School catering for Kindergarten and Pre-Primary to Year 6 students.
The school’s purpose is to develop in all students those academic, physical and moral skills and habits that enable them to:
- achieve independence and responsibility
- show pride in being a participant in the Springfield school community
The school, partnership with parents, will provide a caring and safe educational environment that fosters learning and encourages self-esteem.
Established in 1972 Springfield Primary School opened with 179 students accommodated in four temporary buildings. New permanent buildings were available the following year but the temporary buildings were retained to successfully house Padbury, Hillarys (formally Lymburner PS) and Mullaloo Heights students while their schools were under construction.
The school’s 40th anniversary was celebrated in 2012 with lots of community, school and student based activities.
In 2010 the school added a new building, our Early Childhood Centre, housing two Pre-primary classes and a Kindergarten class. This state of the art facility was funded by the Federal Government’s, Building the Education Revolution program.
